Joshua Zepeda
Joshua Zepeda is a Southern California-based percussionist and percussion instructor. He is entering his senior year at Cal State Fullerton as a Music Performance major, with goals to become a studio and orchestral percussionist. At CSUF, he studies and works with Ken McGrath and Pete Korpela, who are both LA-based professional percussionists. He currently serves as the Percussion Caption Head at Diamond Bar High School. His teaching position has brought him the opportunity to work with other professional percussionists, including Yuri Inoo and Kana Funayama. Joshua has experience performing and teaching marching band percussion, as well as jazz drum set. He has had the opportunity to perform both percussion and drum set in several musicals, and his broad percussion skillset has provided him with the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally. This summer, Joshua will be attending the Sewanee Summer Music Festival to continue improving his craft, under the guidance of the percussion faculty from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Joshua was an inaugural member of the Matt Howard Percussion Academy, and he offers private lessons to students throughout Southern California.
